Lysimachia nummularia
Lysimachia nummularia is a perennial herbaceous ground cover and climber, ideal for creating plant mosaics along the banks of ponds or in humid areas. Its creeping stems produce oppositely arranged oval leaves and solitary, 5-petalled, cup-shaped flowers of a bright golden yellow color.
This plant is particularly versatile: it is successfully grown in moist soil around ponds, with branches facing the water, and can also produce submerged forms. Thanks to its adaptability, it is also suitable for use in aquariums, where it can decorate underwater spaces.
Plant Information:
- Exposure: Full sun or partial shade
- Flowering: June - August
- Height in moist soil: 2–5 cm
Lysimachia nummularia is an excellent choice for those who want to plant a green carpet of flowers in humid environments, thanks to its rapid growth and ability to adapt both on the surface and under water.
