Hibiscus coccineus
Hibiscus coccineus is a perennial herbaceous plant native to China and Japan, known for its majestic presence. The plant has large, palmate, rough leaves: when young, they take on a pinkish color, while, once mature, they become dark green. The long stems and petioles also show reddish tones that add warmth to the foliage. The peculiarity of this species are its enormous, solitary red flowers, composed of five petals, which emerge spectacularly and attract attention.
